From the bridge over the Mehde-Aue you have a beautiful view of the little river that comes from Zeven and flows into the Oste after a few meters. In winter, when the tide is high, it also likes to burst its banks and turns out to be quite a wide river.

The refuge looks like an old bus shelter and is on the tour of the local trail "Around Mulmshorn".
