Beautiful hut with a great view of Schenkenzell!

The view of the Kinzig Valley, priceless

Unique location with a large, open and well-protected barbecue hut. The view to Schenkenzell great. The Black Forest in its purest form. And then the bench on the rock. How enchanted. What a place to rest. Whereby the direction of view gives nothing at all.

Lies on the ridge between Kuhbach and Heubach. Steep ascent directly across the contour lines. The head is marked only by 2 boundary stones. At the top, however, there is a very nice forest path on the ridge. There are always boundary stones along the way.

Beautiful mountain with a summit cross and a great view of Schiltach and the Kinzig valley. The ascent from Schiltach's old town via Schloßbergstrasse is very steep, but at the summit cross you can treat yourself to a break and enjoy the great view.

At Schenkenzell's feet, the Staufenkopfhütte is located at a particularly beautiful vantage point. A small swath in the forest makes it easier to look downhill. You can take a break here, as the hut offers plenty of space and a dry barbecue area. If you like it more romantic, go to the pulpit behind it. Over some sandstone slabs you climb up to the bank, which promises a little seclusion in this place. In the evening, the rock, which is still sun-warm, warms you, while the lights find their way up from the valley.
