Forest and lake. Well-maintained paths. It feels like you are in the wilderness. The nature reserve is close to the city. You should take a walk along it.

The shelter is located at the end of a dead-end path that runs parallel between the beach and the hiking trail.

Take a look at the small but nice hut, which invites you to visit except Mondays. It is worth it ..

This Birkenmoor bus stop also serves as a shelter if required. Great view over the pasture fields in a northerly direction.

Very deserted, natural area.

From the refuge you have a great view of the lake.

A shelter belonging to a fishing club. They kindly let us stay here overnight, as we couldn't find any other shelter or similar on the coast anywhere. If you're walking the E1 and want to spend the night outside, I can only recommend booking a spot at the campsites in advance. PS: If it doesn't rain, this stretch of coast is wonderful for spending the night on the beach!

The refuge on the hill is the starting point for some flowing descents. Short stairs and steps around the "summit hut" are great for technique training for beginners.
