Is a nice swimming lake

A great swimming lake, especially for children, with a sandy beach, a jetty for jumping in, and a swimming island. Since the lawn by the lake was only created a few years ago, there's still little shade (so bring an umbrella if you want shade). The kiosk doesn't have reliable opening hours, so don't forget something to drink.

The lake looks beautiful, but always has problems with blue-green algae in the summer.

The Bergkirchner See is an insider tip and impresses with its turquoise water. It may be small, but it offers a lawn for sunbathing, a guest house and beautiful views.

The quarry lake was created in 1938–39 through gravel mining. It is located in the Untere Amper landscape protection area and in the immediate vicinity of the Amper and the federal highway 8. Eisolzrieder See is located about 2.5 km southwest of Bergkirchen, next to the motorway bridge on the community road from Eisolzried towards Bergkirchen-Lus. As part of the development measures for the new GADA commercial area, the area of the lake in the immediate vicinity was expanded. By purchasing additional land, the existing area could be roughly doubled, so that the total area is now approx. 8.9 hectares (water area 3.25 hectares). The good news: At the lakes that the district office samples once a month between May and September - these are the Eisolzrieder See, the Mückensee, the Stadtweiher in Dachau-Süd, the Heiglweiher, the Waldschweigsee, the Birkensee, the Obergrashofer See, the Neuhimmelreicher Lake and Lake Karlsfelder – the water quality is good. There is no risk of blue-green algae, especially at Lake Karlsfelder, which has a very good water exchange.
