The Dietesheim quarries are a small recreational area in Mühlheim am Main in Hesse. You hike on small paths through shady forest and circle one lake after another. Steep rock faces from the former basalt open-cast mine appear again and again. There are 3 designated routes for hiking (indicated on the sign). You will also meet a lot of cyclists. A little tip: don't forget mosquito spray.

After the end of basalt mining in 1982, an impressive lake landscape with a total area of more than 61 hectares was created here, of which around 22.5 hectares are deep blue water.
