The route is part of the AB1 and runs along the western side of the stream from Wald-Michelbach to Schönmattenwag. A little wet in places, but very nice to ride

The Spatschlucht was formed around 1800, when the above-ground mining of heavy spar, also known as barite, began. The white spar powder was used as an additive in the manufacture of paint and paper. All in all, barite was successfully mined in the area for almost 140 years until 1939.

Nice way past the former mill to Rainbach.

Beautiful valley, especially the car-free back section.

Not far from the road is this small gorge, which is definitely worth a visit. The two entrances are a bit impassable. Still a nice highlight and a great photo spot.

The upper part of the Hellenbachtal in particular is a narrow path in mostly shady forest with a beautiful stream. When it rains a little more, the brook babbles comfortably next to you. To run uphill here, you should have good breath, otherwise it is better to plan the Hellenbachtal as a descent.
