In front of the Charlottenhöhe villa, the municipality of Oelixdorf has built a bicycle shelter in the parking lot, complete with a picnic table and racks for safe parking. It's a lovely place to rest and shelter from the rain.

Rest areas with a roof are particularly important. I remember leading a bike tour where we waited for a long time in a covered shelter for the rain to stop.

In addition, there is an information board about our sea eagles in the hut

The hut was open - definitely a nice alternative to bad weather or if you want to sit and watch. Otherwise you can see just as well or better from the shore in front of the door. There was little to see in January. ;-)

In May the door was open. Hut is OK. Unfortunately there wasn't much to see in May. But that's not the fault of the hut 😄
