Visit Döttesfeld

A very attractive route.

Not only the Wiedtal itself is worth a tour. From there you can turn off at several points up to the Westerwaldhöhen and from there you can ski down charming routes with a great view back into the Wiedtal. It's a bit more strenuous, but it's easy to do, especially for e-bikers, and it's almost a must.

"According to old traditions, the last wolf of the Lower Westerwald met his end in an old quarry near Urbach in the 19th century."

The Wiedradweg is really beautiful! Not boring, but partly on forest paths, gravel paths, unfortunately also longer road sections on quiet country roads. The Wied always more or less in view, bridges, tunnels, recommended!

In the upper part of the Aubachtal it is pleasantly shady.

A beautiful, well-developed forest path leads from Gierend along the Gierend Bach to the Hümmericher Mühle. There the Gender Bach flows into the Fockenbach.
