Directly on the Kaiserweg, located on the northern shore of Lake Zwenkau, there are four large shelters with toilets, a fire pit and access to the lake.

Very beautiful shelter, next to it a memorial stone in memory of Harald Krug, a recognized conservationist. From the hut you can observe the bird protection and breeding area of the little grebe, marsh harrier, bittern, lapwing or crane through hatches. An informative board explains the post-mining landscape of the Bockwitz nature reserve.

A beautiful place! Mill located in the green Schnauderaue with a family-run café in the garden at weekends or inside the building with a well-preserved mill guest room. Outside a pretty old dancing linden tree and occasional live music.
