The Kriemhildenstuhl, more rarely also Krimhildenstuhl (with a short i), in the forest district of the Palatinate district town of Bad Dürkheim (Rhineland-Palatinate) is a former Roman quarry. It was operated around the year 200 AD by the 22nd legion of the Roman army, which was stationed at the Mainz base a good 60 km away.
