The quarry offers a fascinating insight into the reed sandstone formation that forms the Heuchelberg massif. The mining operations created a gorge-like section that stands out sharply from the otherwise rather uniform elevations of the Heuchelberg.

The quarry is a relic from times long past and has not been "in operation" for a long time. Nevertheless, it is beautiful to look at the rock formation - it almost looks as if you can "see" different centuries.

Old, unpaved sunken road as a beautiful connecting route between the Schlettichweg and the Schlettichsteinbruch.

The Mühlbachtal is a very beautiful forest loop. The path from Zimmerhof to Siegelsbacher Mühle is very suitable for a Sunday walk. (Also for strollers etc.) The path from the Sigelesbacher Mühle to Guttenberg Castle is more of a natural path, which of course has something of its own.

The path here leads past a former quarry. It goes down a few meters steeply here. The best way to get to the quarry is from Schillerplatz, although there is no real path there either. In Mühlbach (further to the southwest), for example, stones were worked. Mühlbach is still known today as a stonemason's village (like Schmie, which is also on the Eppingen lines towards Maulbronn).
