Blockhütte Forstrevier Dahenfeld

Unusually located in the middle of the forest with a covered seating area. There is a book to write in, the history of the hut is documented and old photos hang on the walls.

Nice opportunity for a break in the middle of the forest.

The so-called Grünhäusle has existed for several hundred years. The exact date of construction is not known, but it was built around 1740. It served as a place for forest protection personnel to stay and to protect themselves from bad weather. After the storm "Lothar" it was renovated in April 2000.

At first you think that at least one of the huts is a free shelter. Unfortunately, that is not the case. But at the crossroads there are full water bowls for dogs, which are regularly refilled. Really nice for the four-legged friends.

It's unbelievable that something like this (still) exists and isn't being destroyed or rioted. For some it may seem overloaded, for others there is simply everything you need for a rest alone, with the family or in a group. There is even a bowl for dogs. Please leave it as you found it so that it will last for a long time!
