Where does the name come from?

Many people are still unaware of the Sechserschlucht in the Küchwald. The facility, which includes bridges, stairs and benches, was built in 1906. It is located somewhat secluded, 50 metres after the roundabout junction in the direction of Borna. The transformation of the Küchwald into a park was the result of an initiative by Louis Schönherr. The textile king wanted to offer Chemnitz workers - including many children at the time - opportunities for recreation.

Beautiful valley between Eppendorf and Hetzdorf Viaduct. In that direction it rolls very well because it goes slightly downhill. In the other direction it goes slightly uphill.
