This cave is said to have been a hiding place for criminals and other persecuted and wanted people until modern times. At times poachers are said to have hid their game and even weapons in it ...... Unfortunately, many years ago during the construction and widening of the section and confluence of the "Scholleweg" and "Bördewiesenweg", the giant cave lost a lot of its size due to the construction work carried out above it with excavators and bulldozers, because the area had settled massively as a result of the work. Today a narrow and steep path with a handrail leads down to the cave entrance.
