Coming from the south (from the Franconian Plate), the Büchelberg (after the Sodenberg) is the first Rhön volcano that catches the eye. That is why the Büchelberg is of course not just any elevation on the other side of the Saale: In the transition to the Kuppenrhön and the Black Mountains, it clearly shapes the landscape.

A nicely laid out place. Especially now in autumn, the view from here of colorful vineyards and deciduous forests is wonderful!

At the summit there is actually nothing special to see, only a hut is on the steep descent on the southwest side.

This is the highest point in the Ramsthal community. From here you have a good view.

Besides a good view, the Büchelberg doesn't have much to offer, even a bench is not available at the top.

Nicely laid out rest area on the highest elevation of the Ramsthal district. With sun loungers and rest benches, it is a wonderful place to linger and enjoy the view far into the Rhön
