This path is even cooler in summer than the Bodenbach Gorge

The Hohle Stein (Hollow Stone) is located in the middle of the Tobel Gorge. It was eroded over millennia and is now a monument to erosion. A small amount of water trickles down from the ceiling of the small grotto throughout the year.

A very beautiful gorge, into which you descend along a small path. The path is lined with several rocks, steep walls, and constantly changing views of the gorge. Especially in the colder months, you'll be practically alone here.

The Bodenbach Gorge is a true natural paradise and one of the wildest and most pristine gorges in the Swabian-Franconian Forest. 🌲🌿 Here, you can descend via steps, narrow paths with railings, and small bridges, admiring the impressive grandeur of the rocky gorge. The steep valley walls with jutting rocks and ledges, from which boulders repeatedly break off and plunge into the gorge, give the gorge a particularly adventurous atmosphere. The coniferous forest with its abundance of mosses and ferns is reminiscent of the original forest landscape before human use and transformation.

The chippings in the lower part of the route have now become compacted and only a little bit of them are still piled up in the middle of the road. As of September 6, 2024.

As of August 2024, the lower part of the route is completely covered with semi-solid gravel. Uphill rideable, downhill definitely requires extreme caution on the racing bike! I would avoid it, uphill with wider tires only partially suitable

We crossed the Tobelschlucht and Bodenbachschlucht gorges. While the Tobelschlucht gorge is steep and wild, the Bodenbachschlucht gorge is also suitable for families.
