Extract from the website of the city of Dingolfing: The market gate still reminds of the earlier market law in Teisbach. In place of an earlier gate, which was demolished in 1715 because of dilapidation, the Dingolfing city mason Georg Weigenthaler built a completely new market gate in 1718, which has been preserved in its original form to this day. On its east side it bears the coat of arms of the Bavarian electors and the elector's widow, the coat of arms of the Teisbach market. In addition, an extract from the market's coat of arms from 1533 is attached above the gate. In 1989 the market gate was restored.
