The Wurm Valley refuge near Herzogenrath is a small but meaningful sanctuary nestled in the tranquil landscape of the Wurm. Situated on a walking and cycling path along the meandering river, the refuge offers shelter from rain and wind, but above all, a place to pause and take in the surrounding valley. Surrounded by lush greenery, with the Wurm gently flowing through the valley, this place offers a moment of solitude and contemplation in everyday life or during a longer hike through nature.

Beautiful shelter that offers us welcome shelter during an unexpected rain shower.

Quite useful for a snack and weather-related breaks.

The cross has apparently been replaced by a stone one in the meantime. The shelter of the same name is located on the opposite side.

Well-kept refuge (closed on 3 sides) with space for 6-8 people. On the corner, creative art with a chainsaw - a gem from an unknown forest worker. Regular emptying of the garbage can.

small rest area along the course of the Wurm. If you can delay the break another 2 km, you can alternatively have a good time in the beer garden of the Teuter Hof ;-)

Between the Soers and the Teuterhof, this is the only refuge in the Wurmtal and is therefore also a practical resting place.
