In the heart of Bergkirchen, right at the top of the Wiehen Hills pass (163 meters above sea level), opposite the Church of St. Nicholas and the hotel-restaurant "Wittekindsquelle," stands this beautiful, solidly built mountain hut with a boulder in front of the entrance. It likely also serves as a bus shelter. This is not only the intersection of the roads from Rothenuffeln/Hartum/Oberlübbe/Haddenhausen/Minden (to the north) and Volmerdingsen/Bad Oeynhausen as well as Wulferdingsen/Halstern/Löhne (to the south), but also several popular cycling and hiking trails. Accordingly, the mountain hut is also equipped with tourist information boards.

Radler-Rast Neuenbaum (Osterheider Str. 104/corner of Neuenbaumer Weg, 32479 Hille): Everyone who is out and about by bike should remember this address! A lovingly designed and exemplary equipped private bike station. People like to take a break here. When I passed here on Ascension Day in the afternoon, there were several groups of cyclists and it was really busy. And everyone was excited‼️👍😊

The Warmsen barbecue hut on the southern edge of the Great Moor is always a beautiful destination for cyclists! Here you can take a break and often meet nice and interested people. And when you're alone, you can wonderfully experience the silence and the lively diversity of nature with all your senses. I love ❤📸🍀🌞 this place, even if I have to cycle over 💯 kilometers without an electric motor there and back.🚴♂️🚴♀️‼️

It's the Grillhütte Warmsen! Always a nice destination for cyclists. 😊🚴♂️🚴♀️But when it's warm and windless, mosquitoes are often a nuisance.
