Today, Stubenberg Castle, freshly restored, greets the hilly landscape of eastern Styria. The 13th-century complex, which was expanded into a palace in the 16th century on the foundations of the old castle's farmyard, takes its name from one of Styria's oldest and most important noble families, the Lords of Stubenberg. From 1925 to 1979, Stubenberg Castle housed the Franciscan Convent of St. Joseph. In 1980, it became private property.

Adventure in the Herberstein animal world is calling! Roaring, howling, whistling - music is always playing in the Herberstein animal world. "Carnival of the Animals" - that is the motto of this year's excursion season. A colorful pack of 85 animal species forms a lively community in Eastern Styria and they have a huge area of 23 hectares of animal enclosures at their disposal. In total, the site offers an area of 46 hectares - continuous excursion fun in the fresh air is therefore guaranteed.
