... on the way from Purbach to the lake shore there is a perfect "white road" for cycling like a pro on one of the "5 wheel monuments".

A great section is the reed educational trail in Purbach on Lake Neusiedl. The three-kilometer-long trail leads from the boat and sailing harbor along the canal directly to the lake. There are eight stations where you can learn about the formation of the lake, the flora and fauna, and the reed industry. The trail is particularly interesting for children, with its myths and fairy tales about reeds.

Austria has a completely different landscape. Pure nature, and if possible, plan to visit a winery on the bike tours. Tip “Hillinger Winery” in Jois 👍😋. Oh and of course always have binoculars with you.

North of Jois is the Ochsenbrunnen. A small pond in the middle of a natural landscape that makes every romantic heart beat faster. It's worth a visit, especially on hot days: Located at the edge of the forest, old trees provide enough shade, fresh spring water gushes out of the fountain and offers refreshment, and benches with tables invite you to rest. Water lilies adorn the pond and colorful dragonflies regularly pay a visit. And the view of Jois and Lake Neusiedl is tremendous.
