The path is actually a hiking trail and is very muddy and slippery after rain. Not really suitable for my cross bike. According to legend, there was an escape route from here under the Enns to Garsten Monastery.

A beautiful valley. It's definitely nice and cool in summer. The cave is closed for security reasons.

There used to be assumptions about the cave that it was supposed to be an escape route from the Garsten monastery on the other bank of the Enns, which comes to light here, according to other reports even from the Styraburg (today Lamberg Castle) at the confluence of the Enns and Steyr.

A great section with a challenging entrance from above (steep & narrow), then at the rest area with a small waterfall a short opposite slope. From then on, a leisurely hiking trail that is also easy to drive on (of course officially forbidden).
