Interesting ponds. A constant, magnificent view of the castle. Impressive.

A great resting place here by the fishpond. A very nice atmosphere, right next to the pond. It's a great place to take a relaxing break and have fun.

Beautiful bathing lake

Very nice little reservoir with the opportunity to swim, fish and take a walk. There are enough picnic spots available.

Now dirty, some things are broken, the self-service cupboard isn't inviting either.

Not only the bathing lake, but also the restaurant is excellent and worth a visit in any weather.

The perfect place for a little break on a hike. The wooden walkways are a great photo motif.

The marked route is part of the Ramsar circular route, which is laid out around the Güssing ponds: https://www.guessing.co.at/images/PDF-Daten/Sonstige/folder_Ramsar_2017_korr_kleiner.pdf We were on meadow paths that are being mowed. The Güssinger Ramsar area covers 150 hectares. Over 300 plant species are found here and 244 bird species have been identified. The area is an important resting place for migratory birds and a wonderful biotope for observing nature of all kinds. Interesting information on the flora and fauna of the large pond and wetland area can be found on display boards. Recommendation: put on long trousers because of the mosquitoes etc., this prevents stuck calves!
