There is no Hennel Hut, only the Henkel Hut.

There is a notice at the guest house saying "closed until further notice" (was there on 11.10.24).

Very nice hut, the food was excellent.

It's picturesque how the small stream winds its way under the bridge and past the old hut to reach the lake.

A cool hut for a break

The Baßgeigensee is traversed by the Viktringerbach, which then runs through the Rauschelesee and flows into the Glanfurt below Viktring. Because of its strong current and its small volume, the Baßgeigensee in summer does not reach anywhere near the water temperatures of the neighboring larger lakes.
