The Gasthaus Bodenbauer is certainly one of the best-known inns in the Bodental valley. Halfway up the Loiblstraße road towards Slovenia, you turn right into the Bodental valley and after about 7 kilometers, you'll arrive at the Gasthaus Bodenbauer at the very end of the Bodental road. Here you can enjoy hearty Carinthian cuisine at very reasonable prices.

The Baßgeigensee is traversed by the Viktringerbach, which then runs through the Rauschelesee and flows into the Glanfurt below Viktring. Because of its strong current and its small volume, the Baßgeigensee in summer does not reach anywhere near the water temperatures of the neighboring larger lakes.
