The promenade along Lake Aspern forms the heart of the Seestadt Aspern district. It encircles the artificial lake and is surrounded by green spaces and recreational areas. The paths invite visitors to stroll, cycle, jog, and relax, creating a direct connection between the residential and commercial areas and the natural recreational spaces. The promenade makes the interplay between urban life and nature tangible and offers diverse opportunities to enjoy time by the water.

The lake in Seestadt Aspern is the central design element of the new district. Quiet place in a beautiful riparian forest

The Danube-Oder Canal, also known as the Oder-Danube Canal, is a projected artificial waterway from the Lobau in Vienna via the March through Moravia to the Oder near Cosel in Upper Silesia, which was not completed. The project is part of the European waterway E 30, which is intended to connect the Baltic Sea with the Danube and the Black Sea. Canal basins II and III are also referred to by the city of Vienna as the two-way channel and the three-way channel.

Everything super new from the ground, but the lake has become really beautiful. I even observed a family of swans there today.
