Fairytale trail, fairytale forest - beautiful photo opportunity

a fun puzzle/information walk, especially for kids.

A really cute little witch's house, a great photo opportunity, and a lovely resting place on a fantastic circular hiking trail.

Please note that the tunnel may be closed seasonally and not accessible during these periods. This is currently the case, as of the beginning of July 2025, as the tunnel is (again) being used for irrigation purposes. Unfortunately, this information is only available on a notice board at the entrance or at the junction with the waterway.

Unfortunately, there is not much left of the accessible glacier... Two passages, each about 10-15 meters long... Very easy to reach, even with children.

The entrance can be seen from afar. A curtain is to prevent further heating.

There is something unique about walking through the crevasse, feeling the glacial ice and watching the light play of different shades of blue. Here you can see ice that is at least 100 years old, which over the years has flowed from the feeding area of the Weißseeferner to the area of the glacier tongue.
