I can't find a wildlife rest zone in this area; perhaps the authorities have downgraded the area because the wildlife probably has enough material to eat and isn't biting into the tree trunks anymore. The Argen Gorge with its vertical walls around 100 metres high was formed by the Argenbach stream. It falls from Damüls into the valley and has cut through the limestone layers over the course of thousands of years.
