Altpernstein Castle is a medieval castle in Micheldorf in Upper Austria that is around 1000 years old. It sits on a rocky outcrop protected by a moat and steep slopes. You can visit the castle and take a tour of the historical rooms such as the dungeon, the knight's hall and the chapel. You can also stop off at the Burg Taverne or stay overnight in the Hotel-Garni. The castle also offers an outdoor arena with an archery course and a via ferrata.
