The acoustic attraction in Gmunden – the unique ceramic carillon in the top loggia of Gmunden Town Hall. The carillon was made in Meissen with the Gmunden decoration.

The city is known, among other things, as the place of origin of Gmundner ceramics, as a renowned summer resort during the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. u.k. Monarchy and as the setting for the television series Schlosshotel Orth, produced in the 1990s. The original center of the city was the market square. When it lost its importance during the heyday of the salt trade, the town hall square developed into the city center (Wikipedia). Wonderful place with a beautiful house facade and a view of the lake with its mountains. If you are there at the right time, you can also hear a chime.
