Once you’ve crossed the glacier you’ll come across Gokyo, a cool town to chill out in which has a stunning lake (not frozen due to depth), if you like cold water swimming this could be for you.

You can't exactly call the place beautiful. But the location on the lake and right at the foot of Gokyo Ri is first class.

If you're in Pokhara, you probably won't be able to avoid taking a walk along the lake - it's really beautiful. Pollution in Nepal can be shocking at times, with trash and packaging lying around. Tilicho Lake is a lake located in the Manang district of Nepal, 55 kilometres (34 mi) from the city of Pokhara. It is situated at an elevation of 4,919 metres (16,138 ft) in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Another source lists the elevation of Lake Tilicho as being 4,949 metres (16,237 ft). According to the Nepali Department of Hydrology & Meteorology (2003), no aquatic organism has been recorded in the lake. The hike took us 3.5 hours from Tilicho Basecamp to the lake and 2 hours back. At the lake there is a tea house where you can buy food and drinks. Definetely worth the trip.

The Pokhara Lakeside is also worth seeing during the day.

Probably the most popular detour on the Annapurna Circuit. The tough climb up to 5000 m is rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, glaciers and of course the (rather unspectacular) Tilicho Lake.
