This lake can be a nice day trip or the start of a multiday hiking trip. I only spend a day here, took a swim and enjoyed the landscape. During holidays it can get crowded, in the off season it seems almost extinct.

Komsomol was a soviet youth association. Lakes like this are in a few Tajik cities and other ex-soviet countries. These lakes were meant to give the youth a good time. Hang out at the lake, have a drink, do some exercises to be strong and healthy. Today it is an interesting lost place to get an impression of the soviet way to spend leisure time.
