Short but very worthwhile detour to the waterfall. On the other side of the street I paid the entrance fee of USD 1 and was then able to cycle almost to the waterfall (Gravel). Park your bike there, no problem, there was no one there. Then it's just a few minutes walk and the magical waterfall will captivate you. If you want to get close you should wear rain gear, very wet!!!

The Cayambe-Coca National Park is a park particularly rich in water. Here they convey clouds and rains that feed a system of aquifers, waterfalls and springs.

Look for a sacred place with beautifully landscaped hiking trails. At the top you can crawl through narrow caves and discover other smaller waterfalls. Entrance fees are required.

The way over the suspension bridge to the Pailon del Diablo is just awesome. Magnificent views and a spectacular waterfall feeling are guaranteed.

It is possible to ride a cable car right over the waterfall and get to the other side of the river. Round trip fare is $2 (04/2023).

Admission is $1.50, but it's worth it. The facility is not overrun by tourists. The path to the waterfall leads quite steeply down.

A few years ago, these waterfalls were only known to a few locals. In the meantime, a certain national tourism has developed. The seven very different waterfalls, water pools and natural water slides, embedded in a tropical ambience and combined with pleasant water temperatures, make a trip here a special experience.
