A secluded lake amidst untouched nature—ideal for those seeking peace and space. Follow the narrow trail along the southern shore. From there, you'll reach a small headland that almost juts out into the water—perfect for a break with a panoramic view of the lake and the barren hilly landscape. If you're lucky, you might spot reindeer by the water.

Coming from Kangerlussuaq, the end of the hiking stage is a long descent with some steep sections to the "Katiffik" camp site at the eastern end of Lake Amitsorsuaq. The tents are pitched near the shore, where the 22-kilometer-long lake offers drinking water, swimming (2 degrees Celsius!), and magnificent views of the Greenlandic landscape!

Spacious cabin with a large vestibule (with large seating area and two sleeping spaces) and a separate bedroom with 10 sleeping spaces. The cabin enjoys a superb location directly on a lake.

The climb up the fell is rewarded with a unique view!

It is worth continuing your tour from the canoe center by canoe and landing here at the end of the lake. This way you can spend another 4 km on the lake by canoe
