Coming from Kangerlussuaq, the end of the hiking stage is a long descent with some steep sections to the "Katiffik" camp site at the eastern end of Lake Amitsorsuaq. The tents are pitched near the shore, where the 22-kilometer-long lake offers drinking water, swimming (2 degrees Celsius!), and magnificent views of the Greenlandic landscape!

Spacious cabin with a large vestibule (with large seating area and two sleeping spaces) and a separate bedroom with 10 sleeping spaces. The cabin enjoys a superb location directly on a lake.

The hut is very small, we only stopped here for a rest and were happy to have some protection from the weather

From the top of the hill you have an ideal view of the fjord and the surrounding snow-covered high mountains

The hut is located in a deep valley. The surrounding mountains hardly allow the sun to shine in. So it can be relatively cool there compared to other points on the ACT.

The small hut is located relatively close to a lake, where you can also find suitable places to pitch your tent

Largest hut on the ACT with many small beds (bunk beds), good seating and also the only possibility to charge your electronic devices on the ACT, through the solar panels mounted on the hut
