At both ends - in the Justistal and on the opposite side - entrance defense and armories were built, and cable cars were used to transport materials. The remains are evidence of this.

At the Alp Silwangen there is an entrance for a cave from the Schrattenfluh. However, this can only be visited with a cave guide from the Unesco Biosphere Entlebuch.
The approximately 1000 m long walkable, publicly accessible tunnel crosses under the Sigriswilgrat at the Sigriswiler Rothorn. It can be reached both from the south-east from the Justistal and from the Zettenalp on the north-western side of the ridge.
