Great section. Sturdy shoes, surefootedness and good fitness are an advantage

Small, wild, remote gorge. It is preferred to ride from the Blattig, otherwise the bike will have to be pushed or carried.

Fast in the tranquility of nature. Short half day tour. Many possibilities for additional loops. Next door always the mighty Pilatus.

Attention ⚠️: As of April 28th, 2023 The Wolf Gorge on the Krienser Sonnenberg has been blocked immediately due to movements in the rock masses, as the city of Kriens reports. The maintenance department has put up the appropriate information board. Investigations should now show which measures are necessary to ensure safety in the gorge again.

Part of the trail is currently closed due to logging. The beautiful barbecue area under the rock is not accessible either. There are trees all over the place!

The Rotzloch is a small patch of shore (437 m above sea level) between the Rotzberg (672 m above sea level) with the Rotzberg castle ruins and the Alpnachersee (436 m above sea level). The village and the industrial area are separated by the Mehlbach, which forms the municipal border between Ennetmoos and Stansstad up to the middle of the Rotzschlucht. Originally, the Mehlbach, which rushes down the Rotzschlucht, probably created a delta here.
