Ravine on the course of the Toce river

A narrow, tight gorge. Here you stand on a small bridge about 50m above the Toce. Very impressive.

This path remains in the lower valley, halfway up the higher routes that pass through the mountain pastures. It allows for a lower and shorter ride however it is technical and there is a roped passage. However, it is advisable to be extremely careful and avoid it if you are inexperienced.

It serves traditional dishes, very organized and very kind. Highly recommended!

Here you can swim a little differently right next to the road in the river Maggia. Wonderfully clear water, but right next to the bathing area it goes down over a waterfall, so not completely harmless.

We haven't stopped here, but the rustic Grotto La Froda restaurant right next to the bridge over the river bed of the Calnegia is an eye-catcher with a wonderful ambience and is well frequented. The restaurant is located in a world of stones, water and wood, in a vertical alpine valley that is only inhabited during the favorable season, without electricity and where new buildings are prohibited.
