Waidhofen is always worth a stay

A worthwhile destination for a tour or a detour beyond the main route. A pretty, tranquil town with some sights. You can linger a while in this place, there is a lot to discover! It's worth it!

All information about the castle can be found here: http://www.burglosenstein.at/ For me it was a nice end to the morning tour. The castle is worth seeing at any time of the year. Also a goal to grill in a castle ruin. There are nice barbecue areas. The wood is available locally for a small fee. I will definitely visit them again.

Rothschild Castle or Waidhofen Castle was originally a medieval castle with buildings from the first half of the 13th century. Today it is a location with a wide range of offers. Really worth seeing!

The city has a lower and upper market, beautiful town houses and cafes. A popular weekly market takes place on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

With the award of the state exhibition in 2007, the city of Waidhofen/Ybbs commissioned Hans Hollein with the adaptation of the Rothschild Castle as an exhibition and event center.
