My plan was to take a dip in the water here. Which turned out to be forbidden on this side of the pond. There is a camping site with a beach just across the pond though.

An outdoor pool on the outskirts of town that can be used free of charge. The adjacent café/bistro invites you to linger with good food and drinks. In the cycling/hiking season there is an additional menu tailored to cyclists. Highlights include the 18-meter water slide with non-swimmer area, a sandy beach with play facilities for children, an open bookcase to browse with a wonderful view (and a glass of wine) and a decent selection of board games to linger with. There is also a separate dog area separate from the lawn. The area itself is surrounded by old, beautiful trees, the water is natural and pleasant, the old hunters' chapel completes the "rustic" picture. There is a seaside resort with a large shady lawn right next to the Edlerseeteich

Hans Dorn, a Großau innkeeper, donated this pond area to the association for village community, which has been caring for it ever since. A nice place for a rest!

A sheltered cove with a wooden bench on the shore opposite the campsite. Yesterday's winter afternoon, this sunny, idyllic section was the highlight of our round!

There is a well-kept pond with seating here. The name H. Dorn can be read on a large stone. It is said that this man bequeathed a piece of land to the town of Großau for recreational purposes. It is maintained by the owner, the Großau Association for the Promotion of the Village Community, which dredged and cleaned the pond, which is fed by springs and drainage water, in spring 2021 and regularly mows the meadows around it.
