처음에는 낮은 갱도를 통해 산속 깊숙이 들어가면, 과거의 노동 환경과 제2차 세계 대전 당시 갱도에서 일어났던 일들, 특히 최초의 제트 전투기가 이곳에서 제작되었다는 사실에 대해 자세히 설명해 줍니다. 광산 투어가 끝난 후에는 유럽에서 가장 큰 지하 호수로 더 내려가 작은 보트 투어를 합니다. 호수는 매우 맑고 공기는 상쾌하며 조명도 매우 아름답습니다. 우리는 우연히 Seegrotte에 가게 되었고, 점심 시간에는 다른 사람들이 거의 그로토를 방문하고 싶어하지 않았기 때문에 개인 투어를 받을 수 있는 행운을 얻었습니다. 우리 가이드는 매우 친절했고 모든 것을 아주 자세히 설명해 주었으며, 마침내 우리는 호수에서 두 바퀴를 돌 수도 있었습니다.

Please observe the local regulations – swimming and cycling are restricted or partially prohibited in the lake area.

The Karl Zechmeister Pond is a small, tranquil forest pond, ideal for a short break in nature. From the shoreline and benches, you can gaze across the still water and observe dragonflies, frogs, and birds. Perfect for switching off for a few minutes before continuing your hike through the woods.

The Fairy Tale Pond at the Meiereiwiese, a natural gem in transition. In 1999, the former deputy mayor of Mödling, Pepi Wagner, launched an ambitious project with the Fairy Tale Pond at the lower Meiereiwiese. His goal was to reflect the majestic Mödling Castle in a picturesque way in the water and create an attractive recreational area for the citizens. But after 20 years, nature has reclaimed the area, and the former charm of the artificial landscape has almost completely faded. A dense belt of reeds now protects the diverse flora and fauna from the view of hikers. In this protected biotope, it is particularly important to respect nature. Clear rules apply: dogs are not welcome, feeding the ducks is forbidden, and releasing goldfish harms the delicate water quality. To preserve the harmony of this unique habitat, every visitor should heed these requests. Only in this way will the Fairy Tale Pond remain a place of tranquility.

Located on a large meadow, it features Heuriger benches and self-service tables, but the service is friendly. Simple but excellent dishes at a fair price. Good wines – from inexpensive draft wines to premium wines. Parking is available right in front.
