Great place very interesting

Where the nobility once ruled, the focus today is on wood products. Near the confluence of the Black and White Sulm rivers, close to the Dietmannsdorf train station, lies Welsberg Castle, originally a medieval fortified structure. Today privately owned, only a small portion of the property is occupied. Currently, there are plans for possible uses, such as a café, restaurant, seminar rooms, etc.

Very popular in the region. A lovely destination in summer and good food and wine.

A beautifully restored castle.

The history of Frauental or Frauenthal Castle dates back to the middle of the 16th century. Today it is owned by the Liechtenstein family, and until 2021 the building housed a technical school. Today apartments are rented out here, and the castle is surrounded by the castle park and the golf course.

The Renaissance-style castle was first mentioned in 1280. Today it houses the agricultural home economics school and the castle is used for events.

In the heart of western Styria and on the southern foothills of the Rosenkogel, this historic building towers over the roofs of the market town of Stainz, surrounded by the castle's own vineyards and orchards. The castle was built in 1229 as an Augustinian monastery by Luitbold von Wildon.
