Dolomite quarry with spectacular views of the Vöslauer "Grand Canyon"

To the east of the Andreas Hofer-Zeile, the famous Felsenweg stretches out in the Baden spa park. The popular hiking trail leads past steep rock formations made of Wetterstein dolomite, which are sometimes reminiscent of the high mountains. The path along the rocky path is secured by a railing and, due to the steep slopes, offers a wonderful view to the southwest and west. You can see the town of Baden, the viaduct with the high-altitude spring water pipeline and the Rauheneck castle ruins above the Helenental.

February 5, 2023 - On June 17, 2021, the Felsenweg will be open again and freely accessible. The City Gardens department thanks you for your understanding during the almost year-long closure and wishes visitors a relaxing stay in the Kurpark.

If it has rained a lot, then this descent is a pure mud fight ;-)

A really great cave, very big. We only saw when going out on the other side that entry is forbidden. But it was really worth seeing.

The way is cordoned off with a construction fence without explanation. Since it is just a fence field, you can just walk past it.
