Since the floods in spring 2023, access to the ravine has been blocked by a wooden gate. Why the closure was never lifted is beyond me, as the path and bridge are now fully accessible again.

The bridge is no longer there. When there is a lot of water, it is not possible to cross the stream (unless you take your shoes off and walk through it - that worked fine). When there is little water, according to locals, there are large stones and a wire rope to hold on to, which make it possible to cross at that point.

The Schussen is a 59-kilometre-long tributary of Lake Constance and thus a right and northern tributary of the Rhine in the southern part of Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

Great ravine, then there's a bridge, at first you think you can't get there and then there are stairs, be careful when walking, they are a bit steep. Also be careful with the bridge, there is a beam missing.

The changes in nature become visible over the years. More or less water, fallen trees or new stones in the river. The forest above is beautifully covered with leaves in autumn.

Great wild and romantic ravine. Beautiful circular hike from the Schmalegg sports field past the waterfall and then in front of the Buttenmühle over the footbridge and up the stairs and up at the edge of the forest to the left and then through another beautiful ravine back to the starting point.

The landscape is very beautiful here.
