A few meters from the forest path there is a massive strin that marks the summit of the Etschberg.

There are still remains of walls and stairs at the site of this highlight. The (current) red and white radio mast is located about 100 m further west.

The 352-meter-high Etschberg summit is unfortunately unspectacular and doesn't offer any great views. However, the high-altitude trail leads right past it, and if it weren't for a stone marking the summit, you'd simply walk right past it.
