The descent from Lorich to the Biewerbachtal bridge via the pilgrimage route has a considerable gradient in places. Technically it is not particularly difficult, but is more for experienced hikers.

The wild and romantic Butzerbachtal with its waterfalls is a worth seeing and popular route. There are even suspension bridges, bridges, steel stairs, sometimes ropes and railings. Sometimes you can just cross the stream just like that. You should be prepared for muddy and slippery passages and for the fact that this path can be busy on weekends. On the way there is the beer garden at Ramstein Castle. Otherwise gastronomy in Butzweiler or Kordel.

Someone named the highlight the Grand Canyon? Why not? It's not that far out of the question. The ascent is fun with the right footwear! Adventure! The whole thing is certainly also dependent on the water level!
