스톡하임의 니더아우 자연 보호 구역에서는 시선이 자연스럽게 위로 향합니다. 죽은 나무의 왕관에는 흰 황새가 둥지를 틀고 있습니다. 수많은 황새 가족이 이곳에 보금자리를 마련합니다. 길가에서도 그들의 인상적인 둥지를 잘 관찰할 수 있습니다. 하지만 딱새, 도요새, 청개구리도 1981년에 특별 보호 구역으로 지정된 이 풍부한 종의 서식지를 공유합니다. 2005년에는 니더 강의 일부가 복원되었고, 그 과정에서 철새들이 쉬어갈 수 있는 넓은 정수 네트워크가 조성되었습니다.

My personal stop tip: Be sure to check out the beer garden when the sun is shining. Or take a look around inside to see if you can spot the ghost of an old conductor somewhere – I only saw wild boar, deer, and fox (which are probably the new regulars). ​Conclusion: A wonderful place for a break! Instead of changing trains, you can simply sit down, enjoy the ride, and then continue cycling, refreshed.
