The Dietesheim quarries are a small recreational area in Mühlheim am Main in Hesse. You hike on small paths through shady forest and circle one lake after another. Steep rock faces from the former basalt open-cast mine appear again and again. There are 3 designated routes for hiking (indicated on the sign). You will also meet a lot of cyclists. A little tip: don't forget mosquito spray.

Different paths accompany this tour. What I like most is the route through the Krebsbachtal (narrow path surrounded by trees).

The Antonius Grotto is a very well-maintained facility. It's a place created out of gratitude. Here you can also take a break in the refuge.

Beautiful hike in the forest on a smaller path, extremely good in the currently hot weather! Naumburg Castle is closed, apart from the entrance portal there is nothing nice to see either, the fishing pond on the route is nice, but the real highlight is simply the Krebsbachtal.

With isolated possibilities to let leashed four-legged friends drink

Natural, narrow valley floor with a beautiful mule track above the stream. The valley floor used to belong to the Naumburg monastery, which is located directly above the Krebsbach valley. Also worth seeing is the old monastic grove mill, which has been used as a residential building for a hundred years. The Krebsbachtal is worth a detour for hikers.
