The childless couple Willmann gave away the entire property with the villa and property to the bishopric of Regensburg. From 1967 the house was uninhabited, and the once proud mansion fell into disrepair. Nobody wanted to renovate it because it was to be demolished in 1985. In 1987, the Polk family finally took over the Art Nouveau castle on a long-term lease and renovated the house with a large investment of their own capital and public subsidies. A lot was done in laborious manual labor and this is how a unique collection of fairy tale depictions was created. Although closed at the moment, it is also nice to look at from the outside.

Interesting fairytale and ghost castle in Lambach - In the former Willmann Villa, built in 1905, the Polk family set up a fairytale castle worth seeing with a lot of passion and commitment. A snack bar with a terrace and a gift shop are also housed in the former manor house near Lam.
