Also called Lake Louisa. In the years 1893 to 1895, Lake Louisa was created from a mined mineral moor deposit by horticultural inspector Paul Schindel. Today you can rent rowing boats and pedal boats to explore the lake. In 1834, the composer traveled along this route to visit his fiancée in Asch in Bohemia. This created a cross-border path that is 12 km full of nature and romance. Coming from Bad Elster, simply follow the official hiking board in the rose garden and discover the signs on your way, such as the Paul Schindel Park, the Bily Halstrov reservoir, the Hainberg observation tower or the Sady Miru Park in Asch.
